Office Dock K33926EU CORPORATE INSTALL - I have downloaded your Corporate Install driver, this however appears to only install the Video driver it does not include the network driver. So even after deploying the driver, when you connect the device it Autoruns and installs the internally stored driver. It also appears to regard each device as a new device and re-runs the driver
installation routine for each device you connect to (using a normal user account this is apparent).
Do you have any guidance notes on use in a corporate environment as there appear to be a number of issues that would need to be resolved?
Can the device be modified to remove the auto install partition?
Is there a way of ensuring that each device is not seen as a new device?
Our build is restricted and users do not have the rights to install
devices or drivers. At present it appears we would need to connect the devices to every docking station prior to issue to allow the user to be able to hot desk with these
Installation of software drivers in a corporate environment:
1) Make sure the laptop is logged on as an administrator, run the setup.exe file (the latest Version V5.2.3316 - downloadable from our software section after product registration on our website)
2) Connect a Kensington Office dock to the laptop and power up the dock. Ignore any autorun due to the old auto-install software built into the dock.
3) Let the hardware found wizard complete and then reboot the machine and test the video and ethernet function of the dock to make sure that they all works.
4) Discconnect the dock and pass the laptop back to the corporate user.
5) When the corporate user connects the laptop to his own dock, tell him to ignore any autorun program but just let the hardware wizard to complete.
6) Reboot the machine. The dock should then work fine.

What should I do if I followed the link to download and install the software driver from www.displaylink.com/software and the ethernet port on the docking station does not work?
a. Go to ‘Device Manager” and look for “LAN9500 USB2.0 to Ethernet 10/100 Adapter” under the category “Network Adapter”.
You should see LAN9500 ethernet device if the ethernet device is installed and the dock is connected to the laptop and powered on.
If you don’t see this device, please follow the steps below:
i. You probably have already one or more Displaylink related drivers installed. Go to “Uninstall a program” to uninstall ALL the DisplayLink related drivers. (Note: “DisplayLink Core Software” will be removed automatically once both the “DisplayLink Graphics” AND “Kensington Display Adapter” are uninstalled.)

b. If you see ““LAN9500 USB2.0 to Ethernet 10/100 Adapter” under the category “Network Adapter”, check the 2 LEDs (small indicators) near the ethernet port .If neither of them is lit or blinking, check the network cable and see whether it is connected to the Internet.
